To build a winning HFT engine in Rust, one must treat the compiler not as a protector, but as a high-results engine that needs constant tuning, ma

nual overrides, and a deep understanding of the underlying silicon.

My Final Verdict on Rust in HFT

I don’t hate Rust; actually, I love it for building stable systems. But we have to stop lying to ourselves that its abstractions are "free." They are "pre-paid." You pay for them in the complexity of your results tuning and the occasional, maddening 10-nanosecond jitter. If you want to win in HFT with Rust, you have to learn to fight the language just enough to let the hardware run at full speed.
